The team at Off Kilter have been exploring experimental performance since a young age, and crave high-concept, unconventional and representative theatre. Finding American stage theatre like this has been difficult for them, and so they decided to take the bull by the horns and create this art themselves.

Fast forward to today, Off Kilter has fast become an award-winning theatre company, winning the Biggest Box Office Award at the Tampa International Fringe Festival 2018 and the Creative Loafing Best of the Bay Critics Choice Award 2018.

Meet…

Derek Baxter

Derek Baxter joins Off Kilter with over 35 years in the Entertainment Industry, including working as a child on Nickelodeon shows All That and on Kenan & Kel. He attended CAP21 and The Experimental Theatre Wing at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. He has worked events across the world with Feld Enetertinament, Disney Entertainment, the Aerial Angels, and Forbidden Broadway. His directing career began over 15 years ago, and now he continues to create stories, environments and opportunities that push boundaries and allow Off Kilter performers to shine.

Camille Sanabria

Camille joins Off Kilter with an extensive past in theatre and vocal performance working from Chicago to the US Virgin Islands after her time at Milikin University. She transitioned into Entertainment Management with Busch Gardens Tampa serving as Show Manager for Christmas Town events, Summer Nights, Critters Inn Charge, Opening Night Critters, and serving as the Head of Audition and Casting. She is thrilled to be joining Off Kilter as Managing Director, and looks forward to welcoming the new Avant-Garde to St. Petersburg.
